Dive into the winter landscape

Leutasch is the Tyrolean cross-country skiing paradise

Leutasch is a true paradise for all cross-country skiing fans: the idyllic high valley is crossed by over 30 kilometres of perfectly groomed cross-country trails. Cross-country skiers can cross a total of 24 districts and are otherwise in untouched nature. The entrance to the cross-country ski run is only 200 metres from the Leutascherhof. The Biohotel has specialised in cross-country skiing for many years, as a sustainably managed hotel it is the perfect starting point for your cross-country skiing holiday in Tyrol.

Training on cross-country skis fits very well with the sustainable philosophy of the Biohotel Leutascherhof: The quiet way of moving, the constant use of strength and the solitude in the fresh air promise pure relaxation. In the entire Olympic Region of Leutasch-Seefeld-Scharnitz almost 300 kilometres of classic cross-country and skating trails are groomed every day. Ambitious ski hikers can walk through the Gaistal valley on an ungroomed natural cross-country trail.

The home of passionate cross-country skiers

“Cross-country skiing challenges the body and clears the mind,” promises hotelier Christian Wandl, who is himself an enthusiastic cross-country skier. For this reason, he has specially designed the Biohotel Leutascherhof to meet the needs of active winter sports enthusiasts: In the hotel, guests can receive skilled advice from in-house cross-country skiing experts, as well as suitable equipment and many extras for cross-country skiers.

Variety of trails on the Seefeld plateau

Plenty of choice for your cross-country skiing holiday in Tyrol

The villages of Leutasch, Mösern/Buchen, Reith, Scharnitz and Seefeld have joined forces to create a true paradise for passionate cross-country skiers on the Seefeld plateau. The unique cross-country ski trail network of the Olympic Region Seefeld with a total of 279 kilometres was rated 2nd out of 200 cross-country skiing regions by the ADAC Ski Atlas. The trails are groomed several times a day and are suitable for both beginners and professionals.

Sport and fun in the Seefeld Olympic Region

In 2019, the Tyrolean community of Seefeld was the venue of the Nordic World Ski Championships for the second time since 1985. The sports facilities in Seefeld were built in 1985 on the occasion of the World Cup and have been constantly renewed and improved ever since. Not only the ideal conditions with suitable altitude meters attract cross-country skiers from all over the world to the Olympic Region Seefeld, but also the excellent infrastructure convinces professional athletes and amateurs to train here.

The Seefeld Olympic Region with the villages of Leutasch, Mösern/Buchen, Reith and Scharnitz was, within just a few years, the venue for two Nordic competitions at the Olympic Winter Games (1964, 1976). Since then, many national teams have been regular guests of the region. In the Olympic Region, you will find the ideal skiing conditions and be able to appreciate Tyrolean hospitality.
